The Mozambican former Minister of Mines and Energy, Castigo José Correia Langa, who in July 2006 had obtained a licence to prospect for gold in Manica provice, has just teamed up with the Chinese company Jiangsu Geology & Engineering Moçambique.
The latter, represented in Maputo by Min Yang, founded together with the firm Marrangwe & Companhia in November 2006, the new company Sugec Minerais Mozambique Lda, whose declared aims are the exploration for mining resources, both onshore and offshore.
Min Yang and Castigo Langa are for the time being the sole administrators of this new company. Marrangwe & Companhia is already a partner of Thanda Vantu Investimentos e Participações in the firm Nguluzane Agropecuária, founded in August 2006.
