A major player in the ethanol market in Europe, the Swedish firm Sekab headed by Per Carstedt, is to plant its flag in Mozambique.
Two subsidiaries of the group, Sekab International AB and Sekab Biofuels & Chemicals AB, teamed up to found the firm Ecoenergia de Moçambique Lda in mid-August. The local company, which will produce ethanol, is to be headed by three directors from Sekab’s ranks: Marco Kac, Anders Bengfors (who previously worked for Skanska) and Eva Monika Annette Branks.
