The Mozambican port town of Mocimboa da Praia has seemingly been taken over by insurgents aligned with the terror group - Islamic State. The terrorists released a series of images that show security forces who've been killed and claimed the carnage. The insurgent's efforts to capture the port began earlier this month and managed to capture most of the town quickly. At the bay - the navy kept fight but apparently ran into trouble once their ammunition ran out on Tuesday. Northern Mozambique has been troubled with insurgency since 2007 - and the issue is only getting worse as the IS soldiers gain more territory. To discuss the history of this insurgency as well as the impact it has on the region, we're joined via Skype by Jasmine Opperman - the Africa analyst for the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project. We also have Johann Smith - a former soldier and now independent researcher of conflict zones.
